Sport Plane Builders is a closed corporation operating since 1997. We are based at Wonderboom National Airport, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. We have a staff complement of 18.
We specialise in the production, repair, and manufacturing of non-type certified aircraft (NTCA). We also do maintenance, refurbishment and repairs on various general aviation aircraft. Our main goal is to satisfy our customers’ needs with the use of high-quality materials, an experienced crew, and an eye for detail.
Approval and Licencing Information
We are an SA CAA-approved Maintenance and Manufacturing Facility with Licence no. AMO1189 and M712.
Product Offerings
Projects
We are in the process of developing the PCAD 700 TP (six plus two-seater single turbine aircraft). We are also part owners of the RAVIN 500 aircraft a South African designed and manufactured four-seater aircraft. We manufacture these aircraft on order.
At present we have 13 refurbish and repair projects in progress, and do 3 to 4 aircraft services per month on average. Our composite facility has various ongoing manufacturing and repair projects with customers like Airbus Helicopters, Cirrus, Bat Hawk.
